Did You Know?

 

Did you know that our House is getting ready for a major expansion? With the growth of Akron Children's Hospita, our House cannot keep up with the need.  In 2010 alone, we had 800 families on our waiting list!  Read more about the growth and how we will meet the demand!

Take a look at what is happening:

  • In 1985 when our house opened, Akron Children's Hospital had 20 doctors on staff.  They now have close to 400!
  • Our house will at least need to double in size to be able to accommodate all of those who have a need to stay here!
  • It is likely that we will be building a new house in a new location that is closer to the hospital.
  • In order to provide a new Home Away From Home we will need the communities help as we undergo a large capital campaign.
