This month's Shout Out of Thanks goes to the Rick Bell Agency of Insphere Insurance Solutions in Medina, OH and Insphere Insurance Solutions Corporate Office in Texas! Thanks to these generous companies we had lunch delivered for an entire week and other donations!

Not only did they bring lunch to us for an entire week, but they helped prepare and serve lunch and even stayed to clean up! Many thanks to each of the employees who helped: Pat Hill, Roni Bell, Rick Bell, Lena Mekhael, Greg Coates, Tony Vitale, Phil Christopher, Erick Von Ahn, Joe Zimmerman, Susan Little, Cheryl Hairston, Amy Schebel, Tammy Wade, Scott McEvoy and Bill Grossman!

In addition to brining lunch, the employees donated a Wii and raised money. Their donation was matched by Jack and Bobbie Heller in the Insphere corporate office. Insphere is also a global sponsor for Ronald McDonald House Charites! The money received helped us to purchase a game table and chairs for our house. These donations are so special because they help our residents to enjoy their stay!

The group from Rick Bell plans to come back this summer and have a cookout for our residents. They have become great friends of the House and we are so thankful for everything!

This month's Shout Out of Thanks goes to Richard and Patricia O'Desky! The O'Desky's hosted their annual Holiday Open House and encouraged guests to bring an item from our Wish List!

We received gift certificates, cash donations and filled the bottom of a 16 foot truck with food! Every inch of the O'Desky home was covered in Christmas decorations and truly created a winter wonderland! The party included delicious food, tasty desserts and every guest went home with a bottle of homemade wine. Not only were there many volunteers on hand to help, but a few "elves" could be seen throughout the night. Special thanks to Jim and Renee Martin, Jerry and Kathy Chaps and Susan Bruah. The event was so much fun and such a great success. Thank you to the O'Desky's for their generosity!

This month's Shout Out of Thanks goes to all of our sponsors for the 25th Anniversary Gala! With their support we were able to celebrate 25 years and counting! Thanks you to each and every one of them!

Also, special thanks to the volunteers who baked, donated and helped man the table to make this event successful!

They were kind enough to donate over $400 worth of Stouffer's frozen entrees. These types of meals are so valuable to the House because they provide residents with a quick and easy option for a warm meal. Thank you ladies for thinking of the Ronald McDonald House of Akron!
CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC

On June 21, 2010 the Junior Women's Civic Club Charity held the annual Charity Golf Classic to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Akron. This annual event is always a huge success and the Ronald McDonald House wants to thank the Junior Women's Civic Club. Special thanks also to Beth Leipold for all of her hard work!

PAUL MITCHELL PARTNER SCHOOL

On June 19, 2010, students from the Ohio Academy, Paul Mitchell Partner School in Twinsburg came to the Ronald McDonald House of Akron and gave haircuts to 13 of our guests! This was such a treat for everyone and provided such a great opportunity for the residents. The Academy will be coming approximately every 6 weeks and have also signed on to fix a meal for the entire House on Saturday, September 18, 2010. These students are not only talented, but they have a great spirit of giving back to the community!

WAYSIDE FURNITURE

Mr. John Ferrato owner of Wayside Furniture of Akron donated a beautiful sofa table and chair to be used for the resident's computer. The new resident's computer was purchased with money raised from our pull tab collection and a matching donation from Mr. Jamies Showers and Mr. Scott Rosen of The First Christain Church of Canton. Thanks to everyone's generous donations, our guests will be able to stay in touch with family members, look up information on the internet and help us provide another way to ease their stay at the Ronald McDonald House of Akron.
